In simple terms, Bachchay is a one-stop shop where you can buy anything for children aged from 0 to 18 years. We supply books, food, health, clothes, shoes and much, much more.

You’re probably wondering what Bachchay actually stands for. Let us enlighten you. It’s a Hindi word meaning child or kid. We feel it has an attractive and memorable ring to it. And that’s really where our story begins. By creating something that’s memorable.

Our shopping experiences are being led more and more by the online world. For example, there are few people in the developed world who haven’t heard of Amazon – a site that has well over 300 million active customer accounts – and for very good reason. They literally sell almost everything you could ever want or need.

But there’s one thing they, and many other online stores don’t have, or even do particularly well, and that’s cater specifically for children of all ages. What we mean is, there is no guidance, no help, no education, no assistance in helping parents to make better choices for their little-ones.

We developed the strap-line ‘anything for your child’, for two reasons:

1) Any parent will in fact do anything for their child, providing it’s in their best interests, so we wanted to align ourselves with this aspiration.

2) We stock virtually anything you need, ready for immediate dispatch.

What we didn’t want to do was make an issue out of having ‘everything’ for your child, the connotation being that if you give everything to the little one in your life, they’ll never appreciate the value of anything. ‘Anything’ and ‘everything’ – two very different things.

Bachchay is all about balance and helping children to grow, develop, and prosper with the full backing of loving parents or guardians. We want you to enjoy your shopping experience and make full use of the guides and other resources that Bachchay offers.
