PlayStation 4’s Hottest Games of 2017 So Far

2016 was an amazing year for epic games. Dark Souls III, Uncharted 4, Battlefield 1, and Titanfall 2 all rocked our living rooms all year round. This year seems to be continuing with the same level of excellence, both with what we’ve received so far, and what is to come. Here are a few of the hottest titles out this year.

Horizon Zero Dawn

This post-apocalyptic action-adventure takes place far into a distant future in which machines have taken over the world, and humans have had to flee into far-flung villages. Humanity has almost been reduced back to the Stone Age, having all of their cities and advancements destroyed by robots.

You play as Aloy, a strong-willed young lady that wishes nothing more than to know more about humanity’s past, as well as her own personal one. You will set off on a journey through a dangerous yet beautiful world in search for answers. With your spear and bow and arrow, you’re going to be fighting, swimming, climbing and riding your way through an incredible world.

For Honor

Three very different kinds of history’s warriors clash steel against steel in this game that takes an interesting spin on three of humanity’s greatest historical cultures. Playing as samurai, Vikings and knights, this game is going to provide all of the medieval combat you could fit in a castle.

The setting for this game involves a cataclysmic global natural disaster that ruptured the earth into pieces. The surviving races now struggle for survival in a smashed world, generally having to fight each other for resources. The monumental shifting of the earth’s tectonic plates has brought the world’s continents together, meaning that Scandinavia, Japan, and Europe have all crashed into each other, its peoples all too eager to test each other’s courage over water, food, and iron.

Resident Evil 7

This game is not for the easily spooked! Resident Evil 7 is the latest and greatest instalment in the horror franchise that brought fear into PlayStation. This time, you’re really in for a terrifying experience!

With its unforgiving difficulty, monstrous enemies, and mind-bending puzzles, this is the complete survival horror experience that fans of the franchise have been waiting years for.

You play as Ethan, an ordinary guy involved with a very extraordinary situation. He’s going to have to use all of his wits if he wants to get out of this one, and there are many scary zombies and other horrors standing in his way.
